Pursuant to the New HR methodology for induction of Agniveervayu under the ‘Agnipath Scheme’, aimed at providing an opportunity for the Nation’s youth to experience a military way of life for a period of four years, the Indian Air Force invites ONLINE applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates for the selection test from October 13, 2023, onwards to join the IAF as an Agniveervayu. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Agniveer Vayu posts, the candidates have to fulfill specific criteria, as mentioned below:

Educational Qualification

(a) Science Subjects

• Candidates should have passed the Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from Education. Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English

OR

• Passed Three years of a diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Central, State, and UT-recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the Diploma Course (or in Intermediate or Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Diploma Course).

OR

• Passed Two years of Vocational courses with non-vocational subjects, viz., physics and mathematics, from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate or Matriculation, if English is not a subject in the vocational course).

(b) Other than Science Subjects

• Passed Intermediate, 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream or subject from Education Boards recognized by the Central, State, and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR

• Passed two years of Vocational Course from Education Boards recognized by the Central, State, and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

Age Limit

The IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment Age Limit is Mentioned Below:

• (a) Candidates born between June 27, 2003, and December 27, 2006 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
• (b) In the event that a candidate clears all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as of the date of enrolment should be 21 years.

Salary

Agniveervayu is enrolled under this Scheme and will be paid an Agniveer package of Rs. 30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment.
