Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for SI, and ASI Posts, candidates have to fulfill specific criteria, as mentioned below:
Educational Qualifications
To be eligible for the position, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
(1)- For the post of Sub Inspector of Police (Confidential):
- (a)- Graduation degree from a University established by law in India or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government,
- (b)- Hindi typing (in Unicode on Inscript keyboard) at a speed of at least 25 words per minute and English typing at a speed of at least 30 words per minute,
- (c)- Hindi shorthand dictation at a minimum speed of 80 words per minute. (Candidates will be declared successful on the basis of purity determined by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.)
- (d)- It is necessary to have passed the “O” level examination in Computer from the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT Society) (formerly Doyak Society) of the Government of India or possess any equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
(2)- For the post of Assistant Sub Inspector of Police (Clerk):
- (a)- Graduation degree from a University established by law in India or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government,
- (b)- Hindi typing (in Unicode on Inscript keyboard) at a speed of at least 25 words per minute and English typing at a speed of at least 30 words per minute,
- c)- It is necessary to have passed the “O” level examination in Computer from the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT Society) (formerly Doyak Society) of the Government of India or any qualification recognized as equivalent by the Government.
